Kerrie talks about fostering teenagers

St Christopher’s works with a lot of teenagers and is looking for more foster carers who want to look after this age group. Of all children in care, 55% were aged 10 or over in 2013.

We caught up with St Christopher’s foster carer Kerrie to find out more about her 15 years experience and what approach she would recommend when fostering teenagers.

Compromising is a key skill that our foster carers have, as well as the ability to listen. Leave a comment on our blog and let us know what skills you think a foster carer needs.
