Imparting my knowledge on a foster child

Fostering is a rewarding role, one that sees foster carers prepare young people for adulthood and this is what Anna, a St Christopher’s foster carer, finds rewarding.

We interviewed Anna to find out more about why she finds it rewarding to impart her knowledge on a foster child, from teaching them basic life skills (like washing) to preparing them for adulthood.

Listen to her interview here:

Teaching young people life skills is an important part of fostering with St Christopher’s and this is why we run AQA accredited life skills for our young people. We cover topics such as maintaining a tenancy, managing personal budgets and cooking healthy meals.
